Loggers Up for "Team of the Year" - Voting begins Sunday!

The La Crosse Loggers have been named a finalist for the "Team of the Year" for the 2010 Greater La Crosse Sports Connection Banquet that is scheduled for Febuary 21 at the La Crosse Center. Joining the Lumbermen in the "Team of the Year" category are two other outstanding finalists: 1) The state champion Caledonia Girl's Basketball Team and 2) The state champion Girls Track and Field team from Aracadia.

Voting for the 2010 Greater La Crosse Sports Connection Awards Banquet begins Sunday, January 24th at wxow.com. To vote, click here! WXOW will begin featuring one voting category each night during the sports segment of their 6 pm and 10 pm evening broadcasts, beginning on the 24th. Voting will remain open until midnight on February 1st, so be sure to cast your ballot and encourage others to vote as well.

La Crosse Area Sports Hall of Fame

The following outstanding community citizens will be inducted into the newly formed La Crosse Area Sports Hall of Fame. A display of the inductees into the hall of fame is located at the La Crosse Center. New hall of fame inductees will be enshrined at the Greater La Crosse Area Sports Connection Awards Banquet on February 21, 2010. Come join us in celebrating their outstanding lifelong achievements. Congratulations to all of these outstanding individuals and their families!

Tickets are now Available for the Awards Banquet

Tickets for the 2010 Greater La Crosse Area Sports Connection Awards Banquet are on sale now. Tickets are $30 for the general public and $27 for those who are members of the La Crosse Area Sports Commission. There are also a couple of sponsorship opportunity with the banquet. An award sponsorship for $425 is a great opportunity for your business to present an award and speak about your organization in front of all those in attendance. Included in the award sponsorship is eight seats at the banquet, a $240 value, signage at the event, and your logo in the March/April edition of the Greater La Crosse Sports Connection magazine. Table sponsorships are also available for $300. Included in this package is eight seats at the table, again a $240 value, name on the table and event program, as well as a your logo in the March/April issue of the Greater La Crosse Sports Connection magazine.
