Team NewsHot Stove League to Host SABR Presentation Monday January 29, 2010 The La Crosse Area Hot Stove League will be hosting a very special guest and presentation this Monday, February 1 at the Stoney Creek Inn. Rick Schabowski, the president of the Ken Keltner Badger State Chapter of SABR (Milwaukee), will be in attendance to talk about SABR and do a presentation on the history of baseball in Milwaukee. Attendees can gather in Lumber Jack's Saloon at anytime between 5-7 p.m. and the presentation will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. in a separate meeting room just down the hall from LumberJack's. SABR stands for the Society of American Baseball Research and there are several chapters in operation around the country. The Ken Keltner Badger State Chapter was formed in 2002 and has a minimum of three meetings each year. KKBS Chapter of SABR has assisted the Milwaukee Public Library with their baseball exhibits. and worked with the Milwaukee Braves Historical Association with their Banquets. |
